Lunch with the birds, Venice

During lunch in Venice, these little birds jumped right on our table and made it clear they wanted our bread. Who could say no that little angry, beaked face?

St. Mark’s Basilica, Venice

St. Mark’s Basilica, the cathedral of Venice, is the most famous of the city’s churches and one of the best known examples of Byzantine architecture. It lies on St Mark’s Square (in San Marco sestiere), adjacent and connected to the Doge’s Palace.
