your tips: barcelona

Posted on Tue., June 12th, 2007, 12:11 PM

We arrived in Barcelona last night, and we’re hoping you might have some suggestions on what we should or shouldn’t do.

We’ll be here for four weeks, which means we’ll have time to visit nearby cities and towns if there are things worth visiting.

Post your suggestions in the comments section below.

  3. Try and rent a car and drive to a parador in Cardona: http://www.parador.es/english/paradores/ficha.jsp?selparador=24.

Craig and I were there 2 years ago and it was beautiful!

Also, it seems touristy, but a cool place to hop in/out of areas: take a Touristic bus. It will drop you off in landmark areas at your leisure!

  4. Craig and I are in-love with Northern Spain:

-Do you have time to rent a car cross-country and Parador hop? The best location for us was “fuente de” http://www.paradores-spain.com/spain/pfuentede.html. It’s an isolated little town in the Picos de Europea area…off the beaten path.

    -Montserratt north of Barcelona: http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/montserrat-spain.html

-Wish we had more time to Girona - please let us know if you make it there - this is also north of Barcelona

  5. F. C. Barca soccer game at Camp Nou, if it’s still in season. Camp Nou is the 2nd largest stadium in the world.
