the bad apartment, paris

Posted on Mon., March 5th, 2007, 11:30 PM

We’ve used the internet to find most of our housing during our travels. This was no exception; however, this was the first place that we agreed to rent without having seen pictures in advance (a mistake that will not be repeated). The owner had warned us that the apartment was “not huge by any means” and that he had to leave in a hurry so he didn’t have much time to clean up. You think? Also, it didn’t help that we arrived at this place at 11:30 PM.

In the twenty minutes we spent here, we: emailed the owner to let him know we would NOT be staying, found another apartment, found a hotel for the night, took pictures and video (the amazing first-hand video is coming soon here).

  2. This place has another lovely selling point. Directly behind the yellowed metal shutters were the garbage dumpsters for the entire apartment building, providing both a marvelous view and an authentic French aroma!
